Senior Site Reliability Engineer - 2291807 EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc. JOB TITLE: Senior Site Reliability Engineer LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle Eden Prairie, MN 55344 DUTIES: Design and develop solutions to complex applications and system administration issues. Duties include: Layer in instrumentation in the development process so that applications can be monitored. Establish measurements that are used to detect internal problems before they result in user visible outages. Build processes and diagnostics tools to troubleshoot, maintain and optimize solutions and respond to customer and production issues. Embrace continuous learning of engineering practices to ensure industry best practices and technology adoption. Conduct tech debt reduction/Tech transformation including Open source adoption, Cloud adoption, HCP assessment and adoption. Conduct tech debt reduction/Tech transformation including Open-source adoption, Cloud adoption, HCP assessment and adoption. Contribute to Optum Inner source and industry SRE community. Improve processes/runbooks and champion automation of any manual items around support. Perform root cause analysis and deliver resolution for tools and automation failures. Create runbooks, processes, and test plans around reliability and performance of infrastructure/applications. Implement dashboards to help teams visualize logs, instrumentation, and other data to ensure optimal performance of the applications and infrastructure. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Engineer-related occupation. Position requires 5 years of experience in the following: - SRE and DevOps (Azure, AWS, GCP) - integrating monitoring and alerting into cloud software solutions (Unix/Linux, Redhat 7/8, and Windows server administration) - SLOs, SLAs and SLIs Analytics & Monitoring Tools such as; Nagios, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Opsgenie, Datadog, Cloud watch and using ELK Stack, Elastic Search C3M, Codability. - Configuration management, Infrastructure automation, Continuous Integration, Delivery (CI/CD) - Cloud technologies including Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service provider (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) and Kubernetes - RATE OF PAY: $145,366.00- $187,790.00/year Please apply via careers.uhg.com and search for job 2291807 Careers with Optum.
