Job Title: Sanitation Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to ensure the cleanliness and efficiency of our machinery and facilities. This role involves sanitizing and cleaning machinery, handling pumps and hoses, unclogging jams, checking products for defects, and replacing parts. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, spraying machinery and products, connecting hoses to tankers and fillers, climbing ladders to maintain machinery, and taking out garbage. The role also involves cleaning common rooms and bathrooms and emptying dumpsters. Ideal candidates should be comfortable with heights.

Nights - Weekend

Pay is $21.05

Wednesday - Saturday, 5pm-3:30am

Responsibilities

• Sanitize and clean machinery.
• Clean pumps and hoses.
• Unclog jams in machinery.
• Check products for defects and replace parts as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors, and clean common areas and bathrooms.
• Spray machinery and products for maintenance.
• Connect hoses to tankers and fillers.
• Climb ladders to reach the top of machinery for cleaning.
• Take out garbage and empty dumpsters.

Essential Skills

• 2-4 years of sanitation experience in the food industry.
• GMP experience.
• Comfortable lifting 40 lbs. individually.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working on mezzanines above kettles/tanks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
• Experience with machine operating and packaging machinery.
• Experience in blending and batch mixing.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean and temperature-controlled facility, featuring packaging machinery, kettles, and tanks for mixing, as well as inventory areas. The floor includes various tanks, machinery, and packaging lines, ensuring a well-organized workspace. Although it can be slightly warmer near the machinery and kettles, the facility is very pleasant, with a good aroma. Employees are required to wear hairnets, beard nets, work pants, and non-slip boots, as jewelry is not permitted in this GMP environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.05 - $18.05/hr.
